IB Programme FAQs
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an internationally recognized educational program designed to develop students' intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills. It is important in your child's education because it promotes critical thinking, cultural awareness, and the ability to engage in research and inquiry-based learning. The IB programme aims to prepare students for success in a globalized world.
The main difference between the International Baccalaureate (IB) and other baccalaureate programs lies in their curriculum and approach. The IB programme emphasizes a global perspective, intercultural understanding, and independent research, while other baccalaureate programs may focus more on national or regional standards and testing. Additionally, the IB program is known for its rigorous assessment and the requirement for students to complete an extended essay, Theory of Knowledge course, and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) projects.
All rounded well-organised students who are committed to learning have the potential to thrive in the IB Diploma programme, fully taught in English.
